95 Express Lanes

The 95 Express Lanes will include a nine-mile extension of existing HOV lanes from Dumfries to Garrisonville Road in Stafford County to alleviate the worst bottleneck in the region.

The 95 Express Lanes project will expand existing HOV lanes from two to three lanes for 14 miles between Prince William Parkway to vicinity of Edsall Road on I-395

The 95 Express Lanes will be 29 miles of HOV/Express Lanes on I-95 from Garrisonville Road in Stafford County to the vicinity of Edsall Road on I-395 in Fairfax County.

The 95 Express Lanes will improve HOV system performance – which means relief from traffic backups, faster, more predictable travel times and fewer violators.

Using the 95 Express Lanes will be easy and provide you with a predictable trip on I-95. Whether you travel by car, carpool or bus, the Express Lanes will give you the freedom to control how and when you arrive at your destination.

Carpools with three or more people, vanpools and buses can use the lanes for free.
